What permanent jewelry actually is

A permanent bracelet is a delicate chain cut to the exact length of your wrist, closed with a small weld and finished so the join is invisible. There is no clasp, which means nothing to undo, nothing to snag on a bikini strap and nothing to lose in the sea.

The fitting takes about fifteen minutes. Choosing the chain takes the longest part, honestly.

We measure with a little slack so it never feels tight, and the weld is checked twice before you leave. If it opens in the first weeks we re-weld it free.

Living with it

Shower, swim, sleep, gym: it stays on. That is the point. Two things to know: solid gold is fine in the sea and in pools, gold filled and silver prefer a rinse of fresh water afterwards, and any jeweller can cut it off if you need an MRI or a procedure.

It is also the most photographed thing we sell on the island. Friendships, sisters, mother and daughter, a wedding day, the last day of a holiday. Bring someone and match.

At the studio or at your villa

For one or two people, book at the studio. For a hen do, a wedding party or a hotel activation, we travel with the welder, the full chain tray and a portable table, and we can fit a group of ten in a couple of hours.

Prices depend on the chain and the length. Send us a message and we will send the current chain menu with prices before you book.

Where it will be

The service will run from both studios, Playa den Bossa and San Antonio, and we will also travel to villas, hotels and events.

Permanent jewelry questions

Does the welding hurt?

No. You feel nothing, the spark lasts less than a second and a protective guard sits between the chain and your skin.

Can I fly with it?

Yes. Airport security is not an issue for a fine chain, and you do not need to remove it.

Can I take it off?

Any jeweller can cut it in seconds, and we can too. If you need an MRI, tell the technician and have it removed before the scan.

How long does it last?

With solid 14k gold, years. Gold filled lasts a year or two with care, silver less. Sea, chlorine and perfume shorten any chain's life.

Do you do anklets and necklaces?

Yes, and waist chains. Necklaces are welded with a slightly different approach so the join sits behind the neck.

Can you come to our villa or hotel?

Yes, anywhere on Ibiza for groups of four or more. Send the date, location and number of people.
